Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
General Principles
Our scientific publication supports the use of the latest technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and large-scale language models (LLM), as aids in scientific work. However, the use of AI has certain limitations. We require full transparency and academic responsibility from all participants in the publication process.
1. Use of AI by Authors (Responsibilities and Limitations)
1.1. Authorship
- AI cannot be an author. AI tools do not meet the criteria for authorship (in particular, they cannot take responsibility for the content of the work, conflict of interest, or approve the final version).
- Responsibility. The human author bears full responsibility for the scientific accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethics of the entire content of the manuscript, even those parts that were partially generated or edited by AI.
1.2. Writing, Analysis, and Interpretation
- Permitted Uses: AI may be used for style improvement, translation, grammar checking, and as a data preparation tool (e.g., sorting large sets of physiological or social data).
- Research Specifics:
- For analytical sections: It is strictly forbidden to use AI to generate original pedagogical conclusions, historical or social interpretations, or critical analysis of primary sources.
- For experimental sections: If AI was used to process statistical data, this must be described in detail in the "Methodology" section.
- Critical Requirement: The author is fully responsible for the accuracy and validity of all numerical data and biostatistical results analyzed by AI.
1.3. Sources and Citations
- Verification: Authors must check all facts and references provided by AI, as language models can generate non-existent sources.
- AI Citation: AI cannot be cited as an author. Exception: If the tool itself, its algorithm, or its responses are the object of your research. In this case, details must be stated in the methodology.
2. Disclosure Requirement
Authors are required to disclose the use of AI tools in the manuscript.
- Where to state: The information must be provided in a separate section "Declaration of AI Use" or in the "Acknowledgements" section at the end of the manuscript.
- What to state: Name of the tool (e.g., ChatGPT 4.0), version, developer company, and specific purpose of use.
3. Use of AI by Reviewers and Editorial Staff
Confidentiality: It is strictly forbidden for reviewers, editors, or other members of the editorial board to use AI tools for evaluation or writing reviews.
4. Consequences of Violations
Any covert or improper use of AI tools will be considered a violation of publication ethics and will lead to rejection of the manuscript or cancellation of publication.
| Physical Education / Sports (Theory and Methodology) | Social Sciences / Humanities | Focus on Originality of Interpretation. AI should not generate conclusions or result analysis. |
| Physical Therapy / Rehabilitation | Medical / Biological Sciences | Focus on Data Accuracy. The author bears full responsibility for the correctness of diagnoses and biostatistics. |
| Sports Physiology / Biomechanics | Biological / Natural Sciences | Focus on Transparency of Methods. AI use for signal processing must be described in "Methodology". |
